Shubham is a PhD student and Research Assistant in the Computational Privacy Group. His research interests include fairness in machine learning systems, scalable privacy-preserving systems, and network security. He is also contributing to the development and deployment of OPAL, a scalable system designed to use telecommunication data for social good in a privacy-preserving way.
Prior to joining CPG, Shubham was an AI Scientist and Founding member of Qure.ai, a startup based out of India developing AI algorithms for medical imaging. At Qure.ai, his primary focus was on developing interpretable deep neural networks, building classification and segmentation models for medical imaging, and developing end-to-end data engineering pipelines for data acquisition. Shubham completed his graduation in 2016 with B.Tech. (Hons.) in Computer Science from IIT Bombay, India.
